About
Hopper Farms is a 4th generation farm in western Tennessee, on the Kentucky border. Terry and Joanie, along with their children, Jeremy and Misty, and Jeremy’s wife Tammy are the principal members.

History
In around 1913, Blanche Evans Terry’s maternal grandmother came over from England and married Joe Terrett. They were farmers and went on to split the land among their heirs. Today the Hoppers still farm some of that original land. Andrew Jackson Hopper, Terry’s grandfather, married Vera May after he came from middle Tennessee to be a sharecropper. Terry’s father and uncle partnered in farming after returning from military service in 1947. In the 1960s, Terry and his father went on to farm independently from his uncle, around this time, the Hoppers started farming the Phillippy Farm that was started in 1905 after the levee was built. Today, Jeremy lives on what was the Phillippy Farm. Jeremy began farming with Terry full time in 1994 and together they are still growing their family legacy. The family farm is truly a family affair; Jeremy’s sister Misty came back to the farm in the early 2000s and is the bookkeeper for the farm. Together, they are keeping the Hopper farming legacy alive.
